Here is a question: I am not working with a realtor, could I entice the selling agent to push my deal through by offering them a chance to be my buying agent? This would allow the agent to represent both the buyer and seller, reaping all commisions.

Yes, it is legal.
But I prefer not using a dual agent in this manner; I would suggest a buyer's agent if this is the direction you would like to go.
