Is Seller Non-disclosure Okay?

Even though rehabbers purchase for the purpose of fixing up, does that mean it is okay to sign a contract agreeing that seller does not need to disclose info about the house?

Seller usually needs to disclose "known" hazards.

If there is toxic waste and seller knows, it is his duty to tell you about it.

    Rehab is not an issue.

The problem is that the BURDEN OF PROOF is on you!

You have to prove that seller knew.

    Fuzzy stuff.

As for sloping floors and leaky roofing, termite infested wood, and lead based paint, you can have your inspector tell you about those problems even if the seller doesnt give you every detail.

    Good luck,

    N.
