Bottom line, its a personal decision. You'll have to decide what's best for you.
Good Luck,

Just to add my 2 cents, I got my license thinking it would help as an investor but it didn't because I have to disclose disclose disclose everything. My advice take the class don't get licensed if you want to be an investor.
That is exactly what I am doing. I am excited about starting in REI so have been trying to learn as mush as possible. I am almost finished with my RE class, but don't plan to get the license because of having to disclose. I think if a person sees a real estate licensee trying to buy a property they might get the idea that it is underpriced and might rethink their asking price. I prefer to remain a regular joe trying to buy a property.
I don't think it really matters, some big investors are also brokers.
I would say however that the training is good!
IF you were buying reo property to rehab then being a broker adds to your bottom line.
