Investment Credit

I am doing my taxes and turbo tax asks about a credit that involves building rehabitation for properties built before 1936. I rehabbed a house built in 1890. Can I take this credit?

Was the property designated as a historical landmark?

No its not. I was just reading some more and I dont think it applies. I dont think I will mess with it. Thanks for replying.

Does it have to be a historical LANDMARK or does it apply to homes in historical DISTRICTS? I am rehabbing a home built in 1924 and it is in both the national and local historic districs.

I think the property has to be registered in the National Register of Historic Places. I dont really know if whole districts qualify.

I saw both the words restoration and rehabilitation mentioned.
