Investing IRA's (retirement Money) Into Real Estate

How can IRA's (401K's) be invested into real estate? I'm interested in purchasing a rental property with my IRA money & want to explore ways of doing this by controlling my own money. Is it possible to set up my own corporation, deposit my IRA's into the corporation & invest them in real estate? The corporation would obtain the mortgage loan in its name & all rental income would be collected by the corporation.

The book "Real Estate Loopholes" by Diane Kennedy, Garrett Sutton, & Robert T. Kiyosaki has a great section to explain it.
