Interesting Thing Happened To Me Today...
Intresting thing happened to me today. I was down at the courthouse ready to bid on a nice 3 bedroom/2 bath house that was being sold on the courthouse steps when a man that I have never seen before addresses me by name and asks whether I was still working where I presently work. I said yes and thought nothing else of it (I figured he knew me from work or something).
The property was never sold (it was pulled at the last minute from the sale) so I approached this man and asked how he knew me. It said he didn't like the fact that I had bought 2 foreclosures out from under him (2 shortsales I did this year) and that I was cutting in on his business. (Apparently buying foreclosed property is what this guy does). Angry that this guy, whom I had never seen before, had done some sort of background check on me (knew my name, where I worked, and how much I make at my present job), I told him that "it was a free country and that I didnt' care what he thought of it."
It took all my energy to keep from going up this guy's head. I was furious. The nerve of this a_ _ hole. I've never experienced anything like this and needless to say I'm still angry about it.
Has this ever happened to anyone??????

I give you props for not losing your cool! That would have bothered me also, can you get any info on him? Name, etc? he seems like the kind of guy who scares people into selling to him, keep your eyes out and ears to see if he slips up on anything. Document illegal or even legal and just watch your back, it has happened to me with a Realtor but hey we have ethics laws so we can bring it to the board but this is sort of unnerving! Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the wonderful replies. I really wasn't thinking with a clear head when I posted. I'm going to turn the tables on this guy and get under his skin just as he did with me. Wonderful suggestions by all and Lucius that story was great...freaky but great.
I'll keep you folks posted when the offense takes the field.

Suggestion - you'll probably make more money using your energy to make deals rather than trying to get even.
