Insulation In Apartment

Wondering if anyone would know if there is a building code requiring insulation(attic) in rented apartments. I am in a situation where my Husband and I rent a condo, and the kitchen ceiling fell in 6 - 7 weeks ago. After all the drying out, plumbing replaced, new ceiling , woodwork etc replaced, (and still not painting and some details finished) there is still no replacement of the insulation. This makes for a very hot kitchen. I have reminded the landlord several times, but still no action. Thanks...good renters 4+YEARS, NEVER A LATE PAYMENT, and professionals.

Building codes vary by locality. Most cold areas do require a specific level of insulation in rental buildings. It would be helpful to know where you are located. You can also contact your local version of code enforcement, or look up the local code on line.
