Info
I've started looking into pre-foreclosure opportunities and was wondering how some of you deal with the owners. I was thinking about sending out letters, but I'm not sure how to word them. Any info appreciated.

Having some sort of ongoing mail campaign is fine but there is nothing like getting in front of a Homeowner. If you have found pre-foreclosure opportunities in the area you intend to "farm" then there is nothing wrong with knocking on the door and letting the Homeowner know that you are interested in buying houses in the area.
I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have a well thought out and prepared presentation. You need to be courteous, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and down to earth so you may establish a rapport and a working relationship with the owner.
The one who gets to the Homeowner with a solution "FIRST" usually wins. I'm not trying to talk you out of doing "mailers" but if that's all you do you may find the other investors in your area get the lion's share of the deals. Good Luck.
