In Search Of GOOD! CRE Attorney In Dupage Co. ILLinois

Hey Board,
Anyone know of a GOOD Creative Real Estate Attorney in Illinois?

In need of someone that can tell me how something can be done and not (like the one I just got rid of) ask me:

"Who's going to buy a house this way?" or..."why would someone sell you there house this way?"...or ...the latest...."why don't you just become a RE agent?"

Thanks a heap!

I've found that unless the particular attorney happens to own investment property himself or herself, they probably won't be very creative.

Ask around. Call your state's bar association and get a list of real estate law practitioners in your area. Ask them whatever questions you need to make you feel comfortable with their knowledge and creativity (or lack thereof).

I don't have a specific reference, but you can search by area of specialty and location on http://www.martindale.com.

    Best wishes.

Another possible source for RE attys who are in REI themselves, is to see who's active in your area in speaking to Landlord/Rental Associations.

I know here in Puget Sound, the biggest LL Assn has frequent article contributions by local lawyers who are very active LL's themselves, and buy & sell RE personally. Those lawyers also frequently speak at the LL meetings, so they become known that way....and some you'll like, some you won't, and you can find that out without paying a fee!

Those would probably be the most able & interested in helping you with your problem.
