In New York

In NY, is it the law that a real estate agent who is also a buyer of a property not entitled to a sales commission.



Please advise me and cite any relevant statute

    my guess is no. As a agent I have always nogiated a lower price and in return declined a commission which was worded in the purchase contract

    an agent in ny IS entitled to his commision even if they are the buyer.

    karensilver, YOU decided not to get the commssion by lowering the price. but you still were entitled.
