Read all the necessary information about real estate investing. There were forums which are very helpful because of information posted but of course some forums have scammers. Nowadays, lots of scammers with different styles are everywhere and trying to victimize anyone with no proper knowledge. You should learn all the information you have if it’s really factual. You can differentiate the truth and forged by carefully studying.
Do you know of anyone in your area who is successful in Real Estate Investing, then ask them to teach you.
I would guess that there are Real Estate Organizations in your area, check them out, go to there meetings, conceder joining.
If you want what someone has, then do what they do.
Maybe find a Mentor
Good Luck.
The key to this the real estate assignment business is MARKETING. You must market your butt off, and get sellers calling you. The problem with this business is that in many cases too many people are doing it. The best real estate contract dealers, spend upwards to $5K/per month in advertising.
In many cases you may find a property that being sold under another contract, and this can get very annoying.
Hi Reneek, I didnt buy any courses or books. I have read a lot of info off the investor sites and the library, there are tons of books for free. Then just jump in and trust yourself, your judgement and instincts. I have been wholesaling and investing for 4 years, actually 3 working years and have done 5 wholesale deals and bought 2 houses for myself.Just go for it.
Whats everyones marketing budget per month? Its kind of discouraging to hear that some investors spend 5K a month on marketing. How can the little guy compete with that?
develop and have a "large" network of people to flip to.
Read and learn as much as you can. There are lots of free information out there, some good and some not so good. A great place for information is your local Real Estate Investment Club. This form has a lot of great information, search through all the old posts and keep asking questions.
