I Need Info On Being A Landlord

Hi. I'm buying my first house soon and have been kicking around the idea of possibly getting a duplex/triplex. I've read around on the internet but the articles just seem to skim the surface of what all is involved in being a landlord. I was wondering if someone could reccomend a book or site that really goes into details. IE: worksheets for estimating costs, how to keep good records, what are the tax implications, when should I use professionals (from attornies to electricians) and when is it safe to DIY. Basically, I'm looking for a crash course in landlordology so I can see if this multi-unit thing is really something that I want to do. Thanks in advance!

Wow! Thanks for the info, guys. I was actually looking at that exact book in the store, yesterday. I was tempted to pick it up but decided to wait and see if I got any suggestions. I'll pick it up, today.

Thanks for the links, as well.

Sites like this are awesome. How did people get by before the internet!?
