I'm thinking of using SharkBait for searching pre-foreclosures??

I was wondering if anyone has used SharkBait or similar software to help them in their search?

If so, do you have any gripes or good reviews for it?

I'm looking to start very soon and am close to purchasing this software along with some additional supplies. But i'd like to know if I'd be wasting mymoney here.

Thanks!

Good thing you told what SharkBait was, I was mighty bewildered, and was thinking it was some way of fishing!

I would try a couple of things first, you're in IT, I am too. Bill Gates enabled MAIL MERGE; use it to your advantage! Use the USPS and upload for FREE and they will send your cards, letters, etc.

Get the list from the newspaper, legal newspaper, the court house, the list of lis pendens. Put 'em in excel, merge 'em in word. (or better yet use the USPS for freebies.)

Never used shark bait, but you can suspense yourself in OUTLOOK after you've sent a letter to do a follow up.

    Best of luck.

    Hey Guys,

I use Realtytrac.com . they have a fairly extensive coverage area. I am in NY and find them a good source.

The cool thing about their data format is at the bottom of page view there is a button to click to download and save in csv format to import to Excel.

Since I am a carpenter and you are the tech dudes you know what to do then.

Mail merge the pertinent name address etc to mailing labels and form letter to personalize.
They have a trial for $7 or its $20 a month.
Their data is reasonably fresh every Friday I think. NOD & Les Pendens & Auction dates. Trustee names #"s etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

    Chris

Have never used it. I prefer using more traditional means of finding these deals, such as (advertising and word of mouth)
