I Dont Want To Pay Last Months Rent!
My landlord came over and admently forced her way in to my home. We just moved in, only been there 30 days, and I asked her to come back because I was home sick in bed for 5 days fighting pneumonia. I had to call the police on her after she began pushing a grabbing on me. Her husband came over the next day and gave us a 60 day notice. She has collected a 2300 dollar depost from us. I can afford to pay her and move also.
somewhere you 2 will have to come to an agreement, like meet each other half way. Is 2300.$ 2 months deposit? if yes get out in one month so at least you will have half of it back, that is if she agrees to use half of it for your rent. I would like to hear her story, why she had to enter your property 30 days after you moved in?
Do you have a long term lease?
If so, did you do anything to violate your lease? If not, you might want to contact your local legal assistance office. Retaliatory eviction is a violation of landlord tenant law.
Not knowing the other half of the story, I would say that your landlord messed up bigtime. You should definitely contact a lawyer or legal aid society and bring your landlord to court, assuming that your landlord did not have a permissible purpose for entering your home and that she attacked you unprovoked.
