I Don't Want To Get Involved So I'll Ask You Guys

This tin man thing reminds me of the war I had with Rock2000 a year or so www.ago.I havent' kept up with af tinman AKA Lori so I can't say anything about her previous postings. However, from reading the monster post I have deduced a few things.First, she does not seem to be buying properties and selling for an investment type deal. Shae says she only owns 8 properties currently for personal purposes. This is consistent with what others are saying. The 20 or so properties per month seem to be connected someway with the brokerage she operatates as a mortgage brokerage, perhaps for others. the question I have, is how is she buying them for 40% of FMV. Is it 40% of ARV? That would seem to be more accurate. I live less than 150 miles from her and I cannot duplicate that. I probably haven't bough one @40%. The best I have done is about 60%. I think several people believe she is touting herself as doing traditional deals @20 per month which I believe is physically impossible, without a huge support staff, not to mention she wouldn't have time to post here. Furthermore if even at a net profit of 1000 per deal, I think she would reside in nicer digs for herself. I do see a lot of personal aggression surrounding the topic and wonder if I've missed the true point of the thread. Comments?

    Actually, I think you hit the nail on the head, Shawn.

    I chose to stay out of the fight as well, but the problem I have with all that bragging from her is that it is pure fantasy. Whether an outright lie or some misconception by her is not really the issue. The point is that she, either intentional or not, is trying to look like a "master investor" and the newbies tend to listen to her usually awful advice. If anyone takes the time to read her profile, there is no way that she could do half the things she claims.

    I've only met one person in my area that I really believes buys 20 or so properties per month. He works in about 5 different counties of NC and makes offers to banks/lenders/HUD for 15-30 at a time. So one offer nets him his 20 or so properties every month. I asked him to come to our local REIA meeting, his response was that he didn't have the time, tho he'd pass it along to some other investors that work for, or thru, him.

    Point is, if you were doing half as many deals as she claims WITHOUT HELP, you'd barely have time to pee, much less post some 400+ times in a month.

    I probably should have deleted the post as it was blantant advertising by a person who has already been in jail for hustling.

    Sometimes since some of these posters keep coming back for more and do not really care about jail or personal attacks, the just go on advertising or hustling.

    In this case I thought lets show the folks what a flaming thread is and that this person does not do 20 deals a month at 40% FMV.

    I even tried to have a truce called to no avail, so I figured to end it with Nancy Chadwick giving an unbiased review.

    However I have noticed that it is a little quieter since this thread, from the hustlers that are normally pounding their chests.
