How To Get A New Home Rent Ready?
Hi,
I'm a n00b here. Let's say I was able to buy a brand new home and still make a positive cashflow. How would I go about making the home rent-read? Find a property manager that would do it for me? Or do it myself? Would I have to have window dressings (blinds, curtains, whatever...) installed? Have a washer/dryer put in?
Any information helps.
Thanks,

Most tenants will expect you to provide blinds - but they are cheap if you just use basic plastic mini-linds. Probably less then $25 a window. You don't need to provide curtains.
The w/d varies by region. Around here it would be provided by the tenant in most rentals.
You can manage it yourself with a little effort and know-how. Hiring a property manager will cost around %10 of the rent a month and probably stop any cashflow. It may even make it a losing propisition.
Good Luck!
Dumdido's right:
Rentals differ from region to region.
The best way to find out the standard in your area is by calling a couple of rental ads in the loacl newspaper and asking the landlords what amenities they provide with their rentals.
Good luck.
