How To Determine If Deed = Mortgage
Hi all,
I am looking to make tax certificate bids in Florida this month. In my due-diligence I am trying to find out if these tax defaulted properties have mortgages. However, when I check with the county property appraiser, most properties are listed as having deeds (warranty, special, or otherwise) between grantor and grantee. How can I tell if there is a mortgage on the property?
