How Long For FICO To Raise
Hi,
I have 3 credit cards that I am an autorized user on. They are my husbands cards. The credit cards are all maxed out. If i was to be removed as an authorized user, would that raise my FICO score quite a bit and if so how long would it take for it to raise? thanks!
It depends on the rest of your credit. The short answer is if you have 3 cards with $500 limit each that is maxed out you are usinjg 100% of $1,500.
If those are the ONLY three cards you have and you remove yourself you are now using 100% of $0, so you have gained nothing as far as debt to credit limit goes.
But now you have lost any good payment history that you may have with these three cards. Help him pay them down, it will do more for both of your scores.
