The only sure fire way to stop a foreclosure auction is to pay what's due, structure a lender approved repayment plan, or seek protection under bankruptcy.

Don't rely upon the verbal promise of a FB agreement. Get it in writing! Plan on a Chapter 13 filing as a contingency.[ Edited by TheShortSalePro on Date 11/14/2003 ]

there is a way , you can file a suit based on a tangible clause , in other words you can have your agreement investigated which will in turn allow you to refinance at a higer rate or put it up for sale as a for sale buy owner if you more advice send me a private message.

    Hi alroman1,

You may be able to Short Sale this, it would depend on the property and the circumstances that caused the owners hardship. In order to move forward with a short sale, you will need to delay the sale.

Call the loss mitigation department and ask them if they will delay it, what will they need to do that? They will be honest with you.
