How Do I Find Out If Someone Has Declared Bankruptcy
I have a property I want to purchase - according to the county files the owner declared bankruptcy. I searched county records and found out that he died. His estate was probated and the property was released from probate to his heirs.
How can I check to see if he had filed bankruptcy?

Check with the BK Clerk of the BK court where he lived just prior to his death...they'll let you use their index and you learn in minutes if he did file a BK, when, details of it.
It's public info and it may be that it's online these days so you can do it from your own PC.
