I was just wondering if any bird dogs out there partner with other bird dogs in there area and how that works? I have a bird dog near me that wants to work together but i'm not sure how we can.

    Hi, Nievana14

You ask how can bird dogs work together? Well, I ask how can they not? I mean if you're compatible & supportive of each other, it could be the perfect partnership. But if the big G (ryhmes with 'need') enters the picture, then I think you should just forget it.

    Maybe i should elaborate...
What i mean is how can bird dogs work together, when it comes down to who gets paid, how much, what areas to bdog in etc. Do you split commissions? Split areas? Share buyer's lists? It would seem like a waste of time to work together when you can keep all the fees for yourself if you work alone. I can see how bird dogs can share material like contracts, advertising materials etc, but it doesn't make sense to me financially. I hope this clarifies what i meant a bit.
    Thanks,

I posted a reply and answered your question in full, but somehow it was deleted

SPLIT AREAS. Share investor list, contracts, ways to find properties, etc. but split the areas that you work in. You get less deals, but you get more money per deal and the deals are easier to do. Each birddog gets 100% of the profits in that area.

    SPLIT DUTIES.
    One person find the leads,
One person negotiates with the owners, One person find the investors
One person sells to the investor
You will get less money per deal, but be able to do a larger volume of deals and do them faster since each is only concentrating on one of the duties.
Profits are split equally between all those that are invovled in the deal.

    Hope This Helps!

Thanks for the reply mrs meltzer...
so basically we should work together to get more deals done but if we complete a deal in my area, I should keep most of the fee and if we do a deal in his/her area he/she gets to keep all or most of the profit?
That doesn't sound like a bad deal.
