Hoow to choose the best Consummer Credit Company?

Hello,

What criteria should I use to choose a cosumer credit company that negotiates to lower your interest an set up payments. They all have fees. What's the best fee arrangement that is offered? What should I look out for? Is their somewhere that rates these non-profits on their performance?

Any answers would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Please-I repeat-Please do not consider them-go file bankruptcy chapter 11 if you want to pay back-at least you will be able to obtain credit in 3 years-some of these places have people making payments for 60 months=5 years--you can get a credit card at www.mymccard.com then and now--if you want to not pay and still have concerns about your house or something most are protected from bankruptcy-chapter 7 (the best-u pay nobody nothing)-THIS IS WHAT I DID-those credit conseling places take most of your payment!
So, talk with a attorney-most charge around $200-$500-and take payments also for bankruptcy.

Hey Mark! I am actually looking for a mortgage company to assist with financing. Please e-mail me when you get a chance. Also what state are you located in?

If you are looking for a mortgage company to refinance your owner occupied house, give me a call. (My contact info is in my profile.) If you are behind on credit cards, judgments, taxes, etc and you have enough equity in your house, I maybe able too negotiate reduced payoff settlements at the time of funding. This does complicate the loan process but I have had a lot of success getting these deals done in the past.

Mortgage companies treat (CCC) Consumer Credit Counseling like a BK. CCC is a non-profit scam.

Hi... I went the way of the CCCS earlier this year and it was a BAD IDEA... These people took my money and didn't make the payments - which is what they NORMALLY DO- they were saving up my money to settle with my credit card companies. I could have done that myself! I thought they actually got my debts reduced and made monthly payments and all that **Please See My Profile** NOT SO. To top it off, they still haven't payed off any of my debts yet and some of my credit cards are getting charged off to collections agencies.

If you want to really help yourself, you can do the following

First, if you can refinance a house or something and ad your debt to that, I'd do that first

Second, (can't refinance), if you have 60% of the money you owe to your creditors or you think you can come up with that in the next few months, try to settle all your debts for 60%. This is the standard amount that they are willing to settle for because collection agencies will pay the same. If you'd like to know the process of how that works, e-mail me. It's almost exactly the same as doing a short sale...you know how to do those right? Make sure you get something in writing saying that the settlement will not adversly effect your credit record and make sure the check you send them says something in reference to that letter on the back above where your creditors will endorse it.

Also, if you can mix the refinance with settling your debts instead of paying full price, that would be very clever.

Third, if all else fails I guess what these other folks are sayin about bankruptcy would be a better idea than going to a CCCS.

I have a question for all of you though. I thought a bankruptcy stays on the record for 10 years and everytime you apply for anything for the rest of your life you have to say that you once filed bankruptcy. Also, if I file bankruptcy, will they take the car I'm making payments on or do I get to keep it for free???
