HOA Wishes To Charge Interest
I bought a vacant lot at a tax sale 2 years ago. Today the treasurer of the HOA says there is an annual $100 fee to keep water available to the lot. I have never seen a bill and now the treasurer is saying I am obligated to pay for the period I have owned, plus 18% late fees. Can that be right? I am more than willing to pay the $100/year...but the late fee seems like they are going to far. Is this common?
