HELP, I Am New At This And Am Confuse On Trustee Sales

Please someone help me, I am confuse, my question is if after a house is sold in an auction is this house free of all liens?. Like for example if there is a deliquency amount of $8,000 on a notice of trustee sale how would I know if there is more liens, where and how would I look for? and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks confused

    There is an office at your Court House whether you are in a County or a Municipality.

    The "Recording" Department or some other name (ask and you will know).

    They record liens.

    Traditionally all liens that are JUNIOR (recorded after) to the foreclosed loan will get wiped out.

    Anything Senior would get some time period to act. (Federal, State, Municipal Liens are always Senior to bank loans)

    They may have ignored initial notification so the lien may be "in force".

    Generally speaking there are state Statutes wherever you live. You may have to go to your government website and read those statutes.

    Ask for answers at the Court House but DONT TAKE ANYONE's ANSWER FOR GRANTED as being correct.

    Not even the complete stranger/"experts" you read on this site!!!

    Generally after an auction the property is clear of liens, but you cant afford to assume that.

    One thing about buying at trustee sales is you have to have good title. I would recommend hooking up with a title company in your area. They can provide you with the information you need so that you have good title.

    Time for you to get in the car and drive just down the road to Norwalk. In that striving town you will find the Hall of Records and in that hall of records you will find a small office inhabited by a title company there are several. Trying to be helpful let me suggest. Commonwealth Land Title Co. office on second floor. walk in and say that Lucius Foster one of their Real Estate Broker Clients asked you to go down and talk to them.
    Tell them what you want to know and they will do it then and now.

    In those hallowed halls depose all of the records of land transactions for all of Los Angeles County. You reside in South Gate, just up the street.

    The nice lady will be helpful and fun to talk to and when you leave you will be educated as to stuff that records.

    Thank you guys, for all your help! I will go ahead and visit the county recorder since its not too far from where I live, and I will go to the title company. Thank God for you wonderful people.
