    Are you on title?
Can you qualify for commercial financing?

  • johna116th September, 2005

Yes, I am on title (50% ownership) with no existing partnership agreement. I already have the financing lined up.

Fort Drum area is hot right now for rentals. The only caution you should heed is figuring out long term rental viability in this area. The reason being, Fort Drum is slated to receive and incresae by some 4,000 + troops in the next couple of years (my numbers may be short of actual) and the "base housing" cannot currently accomodate all of these additional soldiers and families. I have a friend that actually lives in Watertown, NY and is active in the community. He knows that the base is working on additional housing and this is why I say you should definitely investigate the base housing situation while entering the Fort Drum rental market. But, in any case it is hot right now and you could probably find some quick flips as the market value is still growing. Education is key to doing it right. Good luck!

You where talking about cohoes. The taxes are very high for this area, and the rents would not support it. if you are looking in my area I would suggest the Menands area or the North Colonie Area.
