My experience in meeting other seasoned investors is hearing their stories of the money they lost on "high promise programs" that did not deliver in the end. Unfortunately my experience with this company is my story. The people are very nice but the program course is extremely limited in spite of the amount of $ invested. I would suggest you attend a local Real Estate Investors Association meeting or Real Estate Investors Conference. You would learn much more and spend much less.

Good to see you here Mark,

Would I lose a buck if I bet that you found "those characters" on the www.foreclosureworld.com web site? Well advertised and well placed on the search engines, that site should have raised your flag the moment you couldn't get to the promised free foreclosure search. The method use is called "teaser" and is design to catch your attention where site producer wanted you to be, rather then where you want it. What I heard is that they propagate "tying down the property", most likely a lease option technique thought the most in this part of the country by Peter Conti in Colorado.

I can't remember at the moment what was the URL of the site that list all the scam of the earth, including bad sites (if your remember Don Lapre, he is their star) but I know that foreclosure world was on their list *big time*. Apparently, people complained that they couldn't make the emails to stop coming and information to be sold around as leads after they complained for X number of time...I believe a "guru" called Lou Vukas, was also part of the real estate scum ring which will charge your credit card and never deliver the product .. or would deliver one and not the other which was undersold in the process of selling the first one. MY advise, stay away form such places.

My suggestion, stick with who you know. Check your local barns & noble book store and buy some under $20.00 bucks books to begin with and while you do look around, you'll see some names that you are going to get acquainted with more and more down the line. Conti & Finkel, LeGrand, etc. if you are going to try birddoging as your first step, check John Locke's book in this web site's store located under the button SHOP.

    Good luck!

My experience is quite the opposite with REII.

I too was VERY sceptical about them at first, but after researching several other programs, I decided to try it... and I am glad I did!

My mentor has been a GREAT help with all my questions. I have several books on real estate, but sometimes when I am faced with a situation, it is really nice to have a real estate professional that I can call and get advice from. grin

Best of luck finding what works for you. grin

I have been recently contacted by the Real Estate Investing Institute and they have offered a mentoring course for $6700. Please advise all that you can about this organization and how legit they are. Thanks, Mike

whose real estate system or instructor have you used? Having a system tends to be a proven way.......
