Has Anyone Actually Been Able To Quit Their Job?

Anyone actually been able to quit their job and just laze around, living off their investments? Or is it just a dream we all share? If so, how long did it take you from start to retirement? And is it as nice as we hope?? :-D

PS - - Being wealthy b4 you started investing shouldnt count...

this is my job. i dont like to lay around all day either, this keeps me pretty busy and i do less then 10 deals a year, and i want to do alot more. i quit my 9-5 job so that i could get into REI. i cant see how people can work a 9-5 and do this at the same time. it takes alot of time and energy. unless your just buying a few multi fams and sitting on them. i quite my day job and did my first deal shortly after netting around 20k and its been all uphill since then.

although i do play alot of golf in the summer. winters here in C.T. SUCK and the market slows down. i hate this weather. plus i cant put up bandit signs because the plows hit them. this is the only time of year i slack a little bit.[ Edited by ZinOrganization on Date 02/11/2005 ]
