I came across a couple services that all automatic monthly deduction of the rent from the tenants checking account.
I use quickbooks to keep my books. One tool was nicely integrated with QB.
Set up automatic deposits at bank, I believe they just give you a form, have you tenant fill the form when he signs your lease, second you could just have them pay via pay pal ... 3%(way too much) per transaction or a merchant account, merchant accounts are expensive there is a swipe rate and a key in rate, both are % of sale rates, yes you can write them off and no that is not as beneficial as writing off say a new civic hybrid which of course would be a far better purchase than a lousy card swipe machine that silently takes your profits while you work your a** off... Its bad enough to pay interest to the banks now a days ... Yes my friends the art of war many times involves creative ways of spending your own money while not getting distracted by credit card machines and other shiny widgets that add no real value to your business... be the bank friends... be the bank[ Edited by realestatebanking on Date 06/14/2011 ]
