Getting The DEED, When You're Just Starting Out, Independently

Where does one find a 'notary public' to tag along when going to the homeowner's place to get their deed?

As an alternative, what about having the homeowner meet you somewhere that a notary typically works?

I'm told that its imperative that you have the homeowner sign the deed conveyance paperwork in front of, directly in the presence of, a notary public instead of them signing it in their house- THEN to going to get the paperwork notarized..

Anyone?

thx

A mentor/friend suggested to me that everyone in the business should become notaries public, so we all call on each other when needed, i.e., bartering services. I haven't looked up the requirements yet to become one. I have seen ads for "mobile notaries" in various places.

Oh yeah... forgot to mention... an ethical notary public would never notarize something that had been signed earlier. It must be signed in their presence. - Perhaps you meant that they would sign it again in front of the notary?

yellow pages has mobil notary's in them.

you must sign in front of a notary, they are notarizing the signature.

you can do it at the house, burger king, or a closing table. Where ever, just get the papers notarized in front of a notary where ever you are.
