Getting Notices Of Default In NJ

Hello,

I am a new wannabe Foreclosure investor. I am looking for a good source of NOD (Notices of Default) - specially in the Middlesex County (New Jersey).

Can anyone knowledgeable refer to a commercial service that provides such data (regular newspaper ??)

Thank You
QM

In NJ, only scheduled Sheriff's Sales are published in the newspapers. Notices of Default, while used in other jurisdictions, aren't used in New Jersey. In NJ, once a lender's attorney initiates mortgage foreclosure, a lis pendens is filed, too.

There are publications that provide listings of these Lis pendens. One such publication can be found on a NJ oriented website called "foreclosurefocusNJ"

There are others, including an on line version. Of course, this public information is also available at the County Hall of Records in New Brunswick.
