Garage Rentals?
another question . . . I am renting a couple garages seperately from the apartments. I have a "storage unit" lease that looks good, but I'm curious as to what kinds of restrictions it should have. Any suggestions as to what I should prohibit? (A professional REI friend of mine said to make sure it has a "no livestock" provision! Never would have thought of THAT!)
Any other suggestions??
We also suggest you mention, "No live or dead plants."
Dead plants/weeds for a landscaper for example can create an evil smell.
As for the live plants, that "wacky" tabacco "Weed" may be grown in a controlled environment.
Good luck,

What about working on cars? The one guy who wants to see it wants to do body work there. Does anyone see any problems with that??
The only thing I know of is storage of chemicals and disposal of www.same.Ins. will be higher. danger of contamination by hazardous material due to www.disposal.maybe junk it up with auto parts
the property I'm now working on getting has 2 garages in the alley out back. I'm going to rent them separately also, as most garages in the city are rented out that way. my concern will be fire due to the gas and oil and possible welding if you let people work on cars. I've got to check with my insurance company when the time comes but I'd guess most times it should be for storage only. how you enforce that I'd imagine is pretty tough.
