FYI: Online Domain/webs And Protecting Your Privacy
This is not an advertisement, just helpful info I discovered during some research.
A word of caution for those who wish to register a domain for an internet web presence.
I have been looking at getting a domain name registered and noticed that if you sign up with a company, whatever information you sign up with, ie personal address info, phone, your personal email, etc... will be displayed for all on the internet to see with a simple who-is lookup anyone can easily do.
In order to protect your personal information several companies now offer protected domain name registration where "they" will have "their" info displayed instead of all your private info. This also can help alleviate unwanted spamming, or phone calls to your personal phone.
To further protect yourself, if you have an company identity, register your domain under company id's, AND with a protected domain registration service, and you will be doubly protected.
