Frivolous Lis Pendens - Help Please!
Anyone have any experience with having a frivolous lis pendens placed on your property? I have a home just purchased with clear title out of foreclosure. The unhappy person who did not receive a contract has notified the title company that he plans to file a lis pendens, apparently to block the pending sale. (He claims we had a verbal agreement - not true.) The title company totally understands what is going on, and is sympathetic. This is in Florida.
