Starting REI Club?

Well I've come to the realization that my city does not have a REI club. I would really like to have one here, as does some of my fellow investors in my city, so I plan to take it apon myself to do so. But I just need some info before I do.
What exactly will I need to start up the club? I mean, it seems like I would just contact all the fellow REI'ers in town (Call the numbers in the paper, bandit signs, Truste Sales, etc..) and agree on a good time/place to meet every week. Then elect a few officers in the club to take care of meeting prep and I should be good to go.
Also, a big thing that holds me back from starting a club is that Im more of a keyboard investor, I havent done any deals yet, I am emersed in REI, but I feel stupid for starting a REI club when I could hardley be considered a REIer myself.

What are you looking for in a REI club? That will dictate how you will start one up. It doesn't matter if you are a "keyboard investor" or an experienced, sophisticated one.

I have been wondering the same since my town doesn't have one either. I am in the same boat you are in since I am just getting started as well. Any input would be appreciated.
