Sending Letters To People In Foreclosure

I am sending letters to people in foreclosure asking if they would like to sell their house. I the letter, I include my name, cell phone number and e-mail address. When I address the envelope, should I put my return address on the envelope, or is it better to not let them know my address where I live (in case they get upset I sent them a letter asking if they want to sell their house to me)?

I'd always put a return address on the envelope. It may came back telling you they've moved already.

    hello,
I would suggest getting a PO Box from the local Post Office and using that. I do that and I have no worries about anyone coming to my house. The cost of the box is minimal, but well worth the safety factor. Good luck

I'd split the difference with the above posts. You need a return address in order to see who's moved, which are vacant, which have no forwardng address, www.etc.etc.

I use my residence. I've been think of using a mailbox address. However, I think it would be more effective to have a street (mailbox) address rather than a post office mailbox address. They're more expensive, but more conveniently located.

    sammyvegas,

how would you go about getting a street address mailbox?

I believe Mail Boxes Etc provides an address with a "Suite number" so it looks like a real street address. In reality, it is nothing more than a PO box.

I would have to say the PO Box is a good iead. I just feel more comfortable giving someone I don't know that well a PO Box instead of my home address.
