REI Deal contracts/paperwork/forms question
Hey Everyone,
Where can I find all the necessary contracts/paperwork to work a deal with a motivated seller? Is there a website that provides the contracts and forms for a RE deal. I know it helps if I am more deal specific but I have not done a deal yet. I am going to start marketing for motivated sellers very soon and I really have no Idea where I can find the necessary documents to even try to get a deal started. I know the Pro's courses provide the paperwork and I would love to buy them all but unfortunately I am on a shoestring budget. Any knowledge on this matter would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.
Bill
The paperwork all depends on what kind of purchase you are trying to do. The forms included in the "guru" courses are best used as an example and for taking notes on the back of them. They are generic forms and are rarely okay to be used in all states.
The best place to find forms is either thru a local attornery or RE agent. The Realtor contracts are state specific and they are written to protect both parties. Plus, most people who have bought a house have seen one before, so you offer won't get a "I'll need to have my lawyer look this over" response.
Hope this helps,
Roger
Thanks for the quick answer So basically when I find a deal I need to call my lawyer so he can provide me with the appropriate paperwork? Also If I get the paperwork from a realtor wont they hassle me about signing a buyer agency contract and try to get in on the deal?
Thanks
Bill
Bill,
A RE Attorney can definitely help you with the forms. Here is a link to some FREE forms to get you started:

Any "free" forms you get, you should always have a RE attorney review the forms to make sure that they are state specific. So you will need to get in touch with a RE attorney either way.
