Looking For Direction
I have been in the mortgage business the past 3yrs. as an LO for a mortgage broker. I'm very eager to use that foundation to REI & create financial freedom for my family. I don't have much cash to invest & my credit isn't that good.
My cousin is also interested in doing this also, but he knows nothing about RE or mortgages, and has little cash,but has a very strong work history & excellent credit(middle fico 715).
I live an area where are tremendous opportunities for REI. I'm in a downtown urban area that's at the early stages of a major rebirth(I'd say why I know this is true but am trying to save space).
I've found 3 3-unit buildings that are currently in foreclosure by word of mouth. I've obtained the owner's name & numbers but I'm not really sure what to do from here.
Can anyone make some suggestions about the best way we can partner up & take advantages of any opportunties that may arise? I Know I need to create a game plan for us, but unsure about how to go about. Also, what are the best research resources I should use? I'm not foolish enough to believe my small foundation would make me a smart investor, so I'm reaching out for help. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for your time.
