How To Deal With Fannie Mae
There's an abandoned house in my neighborhood, and I checked property records. The owner is listed as Fannie Mae; they took over from the previous owner within the last 6 months or so. I wrote to the address on the property records telling them I want to buy the property, but got no response. What should I do next?
Go to a REA see if they can help. I look on our County's website al the time. I actually look up different bank, fannie, or other entity that I know ends up with houses. If the house isn't listed yet, I let my REA do the footwork work for me. They can find out the "scoop" alot faster and easier than I can sometimes.
