Eviction procedure

I just purchased a foreclosure and the owner is living in it. She told me yesterday (after I picked up the deed) that there was a misunderstanding and that she spoke with judge and paid for the property the day before. I called the sheriffs office and they said she was lying, and they have been dealing with her lies for months. So I guess I am in for a big headache. I am filing a writ of possession today and want to send her an eviction letter. Does anyone know of a site for an eviction form letter. Thanks.

You know, I always have my attorney handle this stuff. Even though it's not rocket science it can be quite technical and if you don't cross all your "t's" you go back and start over. You can also keep some distance between you and the resident so things don't get too stressful. It's worth a couple hundred bucks IMHO.

I agree with Dave. Assuming this is your first eviction you will probably learn quite a bit from the attorney. It will be money well spent. Maybe next time you will be more familiar with the process and you can do it yourself.

Good advice all around BUT when the ATT does it have him cc all docs to you and make certain you know HOW LONG it takes and THE COST and then ask him the WORST CASE even if your is not.

Gotta know the limits here to factor into the whole Distressed process!!

Just a suggestion...how about bribing her with a few hundred bucks (that you would have spent on the lawyer anyway) and assistance with moving out to SOMEWHERE else. Even though she is a liar, etc...she might just need a little bit of help to physically MOVE out.
