Chicago Foreclosures In Newspaper? Where?
Does anyone know which newspaper in the Chicago area lists foreclosure and Notice of Default listings? I can't seem to find them in the Chicago Tribune. Do they hide them in another newspaper or do you have to subscribe to one of the agencies that charge for the listings?
:-?
Thanks
If you go to http://www.chicagotribune.com/search/dispatcher.front?Query=foreclosure&target=article
You will need to sign up for the service.
Your best bet would to do what is called a document search at your courthouse and review foreclosure related documents.
I also suggest going to your major bookstore and go to the periodicals department for legal newspapers.
Contact a couple of foreclosure trustees for information.
I see you are from my favorite suburbs.
I do a good amount of real estate in your area.
Hope this helps.

I looked at the website and didn't find a whole lot. That's a good idea about going to the bookstore. I'll try that tommorrow. Thanks for the help.
I haven't worked the foreclosure market in years and never did much of this but there is a published list of all the foreclosure filings in the Chicago Metro area. Comes out weekly on Monday or Tuesday as I recall. Its not all that cheap but its organized well and its all the information in one place.
Look at the "daily herald" or "the journal" for the "burbs" near you . Both display under the Legal notices column. The journal is a 1X/week , and call the daily herald, for their listing www.days.Not cheap properties in either!
Good luck, Mark
Chicago Daily Law Bulletin.
