Checking On A House That May Be OUT Of Foreclosure?

Found a house that got a NOD on 4/3/04. I didn't send a letter to them in the first week after the NOD was sent to them - and was gonna send one this weekend. However, is there a way to check first if the house has been "saved" from the FC process? Or is it just too soon to tell? (i.e. it's only been a few wks since NOD was sent.)
Nonetheless, this info might also be good for later on to check properties that are approaching the "it's been almost 3 mos. since NOD was filed" mark.
