How can you properly do research at the recorders office. I went to the recorders office and you can only search by name or business, but not by address or apn. You can also search by time periods but gives you an overwhelmingly amount of information.
Any ideas/tips on how to conduct research at the recorders office?
You need to follow the chain of title back to a point in time where there were no liens against the property - and go forward from there tracking every lien, lien release, title transfer, etc.

I am able to find the owner name pretty easily. Any tips on reading these documents in order to track the chain of title back to a point where there are no liens against the prop?
