Foreclosure Books

hey Folks

I've asked a similar question is some of the other forums but this is about foreclosure specific books: What are some good solid, how-to books on foreclosure? I'm looking more for a book that can explain the process, terms, maybe state specific (CA and MI) and so on. I'm not so much looking for a "My system will make you a gazillionaire" book. I know nothing so even a super basic book would be ok to start with.

Thanks!

Thats a good suggestion. I bet I can get one from an online textbook seller or Ebay.

Believe it or not, you can get an excellent breakdown of procedures, terms, and can and can't do's from a real estate principles text book (the first text book that all new agents use). It's hard to get more basic, but they're developed by educators (unlike most books written by "gurus"wink so they also tend to be very thorough and well organized. Check your local library.

Then hang out here to read articles and ask questions. You might also look up Ward Hanigan on the web as he teaches the ins and outs of foreclosure investing in California specifically.

The best books on California real estate are the ones from firsttuesdayonline_com. I'd recommend buying them all, they're only $10 each and are training materials for brokers and investors.
