First Things First
Hi I am a very new investor and I am trying to figure out what I should be doing first. I guess what I am saying is where do I get started? Are there some things I should or shouldn't do right away? What is the best way begin in the real estate world, should I take some classes. I have recieved lots of invitations for schooling and I guess I just want to know if it is necessary. If you have info I would appreciate it. Thanks
This is what I did.
1) Spend two or three weeks checking into this web-site for an hour or so each day. There are a lot of pros on this site with a lot of great advise and just about every question imaginable comes up often. Including this one.
2) Talk to people in the biz if you can whenever possible. Again, this site is a great source for that.
3) Spend some times in your local trendy book store and purchase a book or two and read them twice.
4) At this point, you will have heard about and have knowledge of several different ways to make money in real estate and you SHOULD feel pretty excited and confident in your knowledege. If not, return to step 2 and repeat.
5) Anylyze your situation and your goals. Do you want to make quick cash? Do you want to build wealth? How is your available cash? How is your credit? There are ways to make money in either situation but you have to choose what's best for you.
6) BUY SOMETHING!! The truth is, most real estate deals will work themselves out. You might make a little less than you expect or things may take longer than you expect. Sometimes situations will arise that make you sweat alittle but in the end they usually work themselves out for the best. If you follow steps 1,2, and 3. You are going to be more than qualified to invest in real estate. Just follow your instincs. GOOD LUCK
