First Rental - Need Your Advice
We recently bought a single-family home that is 100 year old but is located in a decent neighborhood. We are currently living in a Town house that we bought about 1.5 year back. I don’t think we should move out of the townhouse before completing two years (tax purposes). So my other choice will be to rent this Single Family property. This property needs some work e.g. new flooring, paint, new kitchen, new driveway and new Gutters. (Is this a lot of work?)
My questions are:
1) What kind/type of floor should we use? What is the best kind for the kitchen area?
2) How to find a good contractor for the floors? Any feedback on big contractors that claim to install in one day.
3) The house has Gutters that are kind of “built in” the roof. What are the Pros and Cons of that kind of gutters? I called a gutter replacement contractor and they said we don’t deal with those… I am scared.
