I apologize if this has been brought up before. How can you find a list of the REO's available in your area without subscribing to the onslaught of lists available out there? Any help would be appreciated.
I have tried this.
Call them up and ask to be contacted to an REO related department. They may provide you with a list righth away, BUT usually they will give you contact info for the broker they work with. Remember that it is to their advantage for them to give you such information. Banks do not like to hold such assets that do not generate revenue.
Water is generally shut off as part of securing the property
(wouldn't want a water leak to cause major damage or
to pay to water the lawn).
So by mid-June the lawns are rather brown and pretty easy
to spot. Once you notice the lawn, you'll probably also
see the remnants of various notices posted on the door.
