Finding Re- Po Homes

I am looking into buying re-po homes in my area,..Where is the place to go to get listings? I went to the court house and ours do not have that. They directed me to Mortgage Companys.Is there a faster , easier way of looking them up?

    Hi Valarie:

    Good to meet you. First, lets get the terminology straight. Repos are for personal property such as mobilehomes, cars, boats, etc. If you are looking for repossessions of personal property such as this you will want to contact lenders that do these types of loans. Household and Greentree are good examples.

    If what you mean is foreclosures, www.i.e. real estate were the owner has defaulted on their loan, you have come to the right board. There is plenty to read on this subject at TCI about foreclosures and the different techniques for acquiring property in the different stages of foreclosure: preforeclosure, judicial sale, and once the property is taken back by the lender (REO). Go to the Foreclosure forum and spend some time reading the posts.
