Finding Property Records

I live in Oklahoma County, OK and most everything is available online (sheriff's sale listings, lis pendons filings, etc). However, does anyone know how to find all liens, mortgages, and judgements that are attached to a property? What county department handles this? TIA

Don't know how this works in OK, but in PA, you'd be checking with the Recorder of Deeds, Clerk of Court (a/k/a Prothonotary). Suggest you start by contacting the Recorder of Deeds office and describe what it is you want to find with respect to the property. If you want to be absolutely sure of what, if anything, has been recorded against a particular property, I suggest you physically go to the courthouse and do the search. Don't rely on any database for 100% accurate data.

The only way to be 100% sure (if you have a reliable researcher) is to pull a property report. You can call a local title company and ask them to do it for you. You can even make a deal to send them all of your business that way they won't nickle and dime you to death. Most companies just at this opportunity. I receive 3 or 4 calls a week form reps who want my real estate title business. They know we all need title insurance.
