I'm beginning to look at pre-fabs for my next SFR project. Can anyone tell me if the banks are reluctant to lend on these things? Thanks, Brian
According to my buddy, who sells both manufactured and modular homes, he has not had any trouble at finding financing for his buyers. My friend is a dealer for an outfit called Cavco and works primariily in the Riverside area. As for me, I have checked into manufactured homes and have found some to be of "high quality" and others to be quite "poor." Nevertheless, financing should not be a problem. P.S. Countrywide and Indymac are two lenders who have funds for such a home.
