Filing Judgments Against Past Tennants

I need to file a judgment against a past tennant for unpaid rent. Can anybody tell me if there is a website that might provide the forms, procedures, etc. needed?

Thanks,

Do you mean "get" a judgment? Only a court of law can grant a judgment. If it meets the amount limits in your State, you can go to small claims court. The paperwork is very simple. Usually it is done at the same time of the eviction. The court will not collect on the judgment; that's up to you.

I'd advise you to report the deadbeat tenant to the credit bureau and move on.

Total waste of time, in my opinion to bother suing any ex-tenant, as I've not seen one yet that had anything to go after.

Unless of course, it's a co. or commercial tenant who defaulted on its rental agreement.
